CCC – 3RD DAY OF THE TOURNAMENT – ANOTHER WIN FOR OJHL SW

TERREBONNE (December 29, 2013) – In the twelfth game of the third and last day of the Central Canada Cup tournament, OJHL SW team recorded its 4th victory in five games by defeating NOJHL 5-1. For NOJHL team it is the end of the tournament with a record of 5 losses in as many games.

In the first period, each time scored once before retreating to the dressing room with a 1-1 tie after twenty minutes of play. Corey Kalk, with his 4th of the tournament opened the scoring for OJHL SW at 5 :48 before seeing Samuel Wilbur, on a power-play, replied for NOJHL at 8 :06.

In the second period, OJHL SW took the lead by scoring four unanswered goals. Vince Fligliomeni, with his 4th of the tournament, à 2 :51, Liam Kerins, on a power-play, at 6 :41 and Nick DeSimone, à 7 :15 and at 13 :23, sealed the victory for OJHL SW.

The OJHL SW will have to wait the results of the games involving CCHL team  QJAAAHL St-Louis Lalime teams before knowing if they will participate to the final to be held today at 5 :30 pm. In the case of a victory for both teams, the tiebreaker rule will aplly as all three teams will conclude the tournament with a record of 4 wins and only 1 loss. The first rule applied to the tiebreaker is the result of the game between the two tied teams. OJHL SW lost his game against CCHL but won his game against QJAAAHL St-Louis-Lalime.
